I would also like to be informed about any class action suit against Toshiba or any recall concerining this matter for laptops that are out of warranty…jb. I tried all the ways but always had the same black screen. Or if anyone knows where i can get a replacement mobo? Could i have messed up the motherboard somehow? I moved the computer, and it just shut off with no warning at all. Considering the explanations I solved my problem. May be your fan works only at slow speed.

I read somewhere where 1 guy was having a connection problem and used alumium foil on the end of his adapter and that helped. Do you toshiba satellite a15 – s129 what the problem could be? I bought it about 5 months ago and it still works fine. I have had so many problems with my toshiba a75 laptop so I called toshiba myself and found that there is a class action law suit against the a75 laptops.
Now however, I have a toshiba satellite a15 – s129 issue, which I highly suspect is related to power, but probably not the DC in jack anymore. Can any one guide me what may be the problem and how can I fix that.
After the motherboard is removed from the case and the CPU with the cooling module is attached to it, connect an external monitor, plug the AC adapter and press on the power button located on the motherboard. I have searched high and low on this issue to no advil until now. Artur, Is it possible that the hatsink with fan is not seated properly?
Replacing the video card? And it helped a lot, if not solved it complitly. The connection through the power jack is much more reliable then just soldered to the motherboard wires.

I got it to slide back in, but on the base where it attaches to the board it is loose on one end and can actually be pulled up off the board slightly. On a whim I tried to see if this behavior toshiba satellite a15 – s129 itself during the memtest, and I found that it did not. Usually you can hear it turning as windows load.

W15 you watched a DVD last night, did you keep your laptop on a flat surface?
It is not separating at the back left and right corners. If the laptop worded fine before you cleaned up the heatsink then check if all cards and connectors are seated properly. Then will never run fro any length of toshiba satellite a15 – s129 in real mode.
Check if all cables are seated properly, check the video cable connector. Here are two quotes from the Toshiba Settlement Website:. First the touchpad goes, then right after that or maybe at the same time I also then lose the USB ports and the keyboard.
What if the trace between the top side and the bottom side is broken somewhere inside the hole? Any thoughts on things i should check?
