I would also like to be informed about any class action suit against Toshiba or any recall concerining this matter for laptops that are out of warranty…jb. I tried all the ways but always had the same black screen. Or if anyone knows where i can get a replacement mobo? Could i have messed up the motherboard somehow? I moved the computer, and it just shut off with no warning at all. Considering the explanations I solved my problem. May be your fan works only at slow speed.

I read somewhere where 1 guy was having a connection problem and used alumium foil on the end of his adapter and that helped. Do you toshiba satellite a15 – s129 what the problem could be? Replacing the video card? And it helped a lot, if not solved it complitly. The connection through the power jack is much more reliable then just soldered to the motherboard wires.

I got it to slide back in, but on the base where it attaches to the board it is loose on one end and can actually be pulled up off the board slightly. W15 you watched a DVD last night, did you keep your laptop on a flat surface?

It is not separating at the back left and right corners. If the laptop worded fine before you cleaned up the heatsink then check if all cards and connectors are seated properly. Then will never run fro any length of toshiba satellite a15 – s129 in real mode.
